About me

My name is Kodai Tsuchiya!
Please call me “Kodai”!
I am a photographer based in Kyoto and Tokyo.

I started using a camera as a hobby in 2024. I found so much joy in connecting with people and capturing their memories that I just kept going—and somehow, it turned into my job. Even now, I still shoot with the same excitement!

After graduating from university, I joined the Philippine branch of a web advertising agency.
At the time, I believed that being able to work from anywhere and on my own schedule would make me happy, so I spent about two years working as a web marketer.

※I love the Philippines!🇵🇭

However, even after achieving that flexible lifestyle, I realized something was missing.
I started asking myself what I truly wanted to do.

I had lived in a shared house for a long time and loved spending time with friends every day.
Looking back, I realized that some of my happiest moments were when I was casually taking photos of my housemates on my phone and later sitting together to look back at those memories.

That’s when it hit me — I wanted to capture those kinds of everyday moments that remind people how lucky they are to have each other.
So, I picked up a camera and started my journey as a photographer.

I’m currently based in Kyoto and Tokyo.
When I was at university, I studied English on my own for two years and worked in the Philippines🇵🇭, so I can speak English.
I mainly do photoshoots for tourists visiting Japan, capturing their special moments as they explore the country.
I love connecting with people, and through photography, I hope to meet many more wonderful people and help them create memories that last a lifetime.
I’m always open to new and exciting opportunities—feel free to reach out!
